Workshop Description: Learn how to take professional-looking photographs and videos of your work with only your phone. Good photos sell more products and video dominates social media these days, so knowing how to capture your products in the best way to reach your ideal clients is more important than ever. Charge your phone, bring along a few finished pieces and some walking shoes. Put what you learn into practice, photographing inside and outside (weather permitting) and return home with useable content.
Materials to bring: Bring your fully-charged phone and 1-3 finished pieces of leather work to photograph. Feel free to also bring a portable phone holder/stand if you have one as well as any props related to your product. A portable charger may come in handy as well.
Workshop Instructor: Sarah Garvey is a full-time leather artist specializing in intricately tooled purses and accessories. A single mom of two, she has been designing and creating under her brand, Western Skies Handmade, since 2008. With a background as a classically trained musician, Sarah’s distinct style elevates traditional craft with a fresh blend of classical and modern designs.
