Workshop Description: Be Creative! Sneakers for Everyone! Be creative and make sneakers in one day! Choose between children’s/baby sneakers (size 22) or an adult size 36-47. (Email Simone with your size when you register: moe@moesdesign.de) No matter which size you choose, Simone will explain both versions so that you can later make other sizes yourself at home. These shoes are a single-layer design (see photos) made of leather and/or cowhide, and you can choose your desired color from a selection of threads. You will learn the individual steps such as choosing the material, determining the size, cutting, making holes, making eyelets, and sewing on the sole. You will receive: soles for one pair of shoes, materials you need to make your sneakers, and a needle for sewing.
Materials to bring: You will need a good mood, sharp scissors and cutter, pen and notepad, a hole punch/rotary punch if you have them (Simone will have a few), and, if the sneakers are for you to wear, bring socks that you wear in the sneakers to determine the right size needed.
Workshop Instructor: Simone (Moe) Umbach lives in Germany and started working with leather nine years ago. She mainly handbags, backpacks and belts. Her particular love at the moment is teaching sneaker courses. So, come along and make your own!
