Workshop Description: Bevel like a Baddie, Shade like a Boss, and learn how to use and maintain your tools like a Pro. This hands-on class will give you the confidence and skills to improve your stamping and carving. Whether you only stamp geometrics or are wanting to improve scrollwork, this class is designed to give you the rare opportunity for one-on-one demonstration, practice exercises, and instant feedback. Learn how to properly prepare leather for tooling, proper ergonomics, and how to walk your bevelers, shade different elements, line out geometrics, use your swivel knife, and more.

Materials to bring: Stone, maul, swivel knife, stamping tools, weight, water sprayer, stylus, and a wing divider.

Workshop Instructor: Sarah Garvey is a full-time leather artist specializing in intricately tooled purses and accessories. A single mom of two, she has been designing and creating under her brand, Western Skies Handmade, since 2008. With a background as a classically trained musician, Sarah’s distinct style elevates traditional craft with a fresh blend of classical and modern designs.

Workshop Sponsors: Hermann Oak Leather Co.
