Workshop Description: The swivel knife is one of the most important tools in leather tooling, but it can be frustrating when you don’t understand how it works. In this hands-on class, Brandon “Swift” Corral breaks down the swivel knife from the ground up. You’ll learn how to properly operate it, what the blade is actually doing to the leather, and how to maintain and adjust your knife so it’s working properly. You’ll work through practical exercises designed to build control and consistency, then put those skills to the test by creating a piece of artwork entirely with a swivel knife. No beveling, stamping, or other tooling tricks to hide behind. Just you, the knife, and the leather. You’ll leave with your own swivel knife, practice exercises, and a finished piece of art.
Materials to bring: All materials will be provided.
