Workshop Description: Before she discovered the joys of leatherwork, Annie Libertini was a painter with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting. In this workshop, Annie will bring her painting knowledge to you, covering color mixing, application techniques, and everything else you need to know to create beautiful color and depth in this southwestern landscape with acrylic paint. The landscape you color must first be carved in Jim Linnell’s “Pictorial Carving: Spirit of the Southwest – Carving” workshop on Friday.
Materials to bring: Notebook, pencil/pen, artist’s palette, and paintbrushes in a variety of sizes (fine detail brush and flat brushes in sizes 1/8”, 1/4”, 1/2”, and 1”).
Workshop Instructor: Annie Libertini is an award-winning leather artist living in Spokane, WA. Her leather masks and other work have been featured on television on Once Upon a Time, Z Nation, and Gotham, as well as in many photo shoots and theater productions in the U.S. and beyond. Annie travels to teach leather crafting workshops all over the country as well as teaching online at elktracksstudio.com.
