Workshop Description: The modeling spoon is one of the most versatile tools in leather tooling, and it plays a huge role in creating the depth and dimension that Brandon “Swift” Corral is known for in his viral leatherworking videos. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn what makes a good modeling spoon, why you would use one in your tooling, and where it can outperform a beveler. We’ll explore how different grips and angles change what the tool does, giving you more control over shaping, smoothing, and creating dimension in your leatherwork. You’ll put these techniques into practice throughout the class and finish by creating a piece of art that demonstrates just how much can be accomplished with a modeling spoon. You’ll leave with your finished artwork and your own modeling spoon to continue practicing at home.

Materials to bring: All materials will be provided.
