Workshop Description: Build a compact, versatile sling bag while learning a variety of practical bag-making techniques. Students will learn how to construct and install a zippered pocket, add a zippered closure, and create a finished strap. Special attention will be given to the bag’s interior, including installing a fabric liner and seam binding and for a clean, polished finish. This class is a great way to add new sewing and construction techniques to your leatherworking skills while creating a functional bag you’ll enjoy using. {Leandra will be using COBRA Class 20 and 26 sewing machines, a burnisher, and NP-4 bell knife skiver; if you are interested in purchasing COBRA equipment at the show, call Leather Machine Company by February 1 to pre-order at +1 (866) 962-9880. Deposit required.}

Materials to bring: Notebook, pencil, sharpie, silver pen, scissors, rotary cutter, small edger, wing dividers, small cutting mat, ¾” binder clips, and clear quilter’s ruler (4” x 12” is a great size, but bring whatever you have handy).
