Sarah Garvey
Prescott Resort – Bradshaw Room
Friday 02/26 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
All skill levels welcome!
Workshop Description: Step outside of your comfort zone and into a safe, encouraging, constructive space with peers that understand what you do. Each student will have the opportunity to present something they have made or are making to the group and receive feedback from myself as well as others. You aren’t alone if you think this sounds terrifying, but I promise you will not regret signing up for this session! Think of it like a fascinating Show and Tell. Learning how to give and take constructive criticism takes practice and is a skill that every craftsman needs to grow and develop. Learn how to confidently present yourself and your work and gain the invaluable perspectives of a class full of leatherworkers of all levels.
Materials to bring: Something you have recently made or are close to finishing to share with the class.
Workshop Instructor: Sarah Garvey is a full-time leather artist specializing in intricately tooled purses and accessories. A single mom of two, she has been designing and creating under her brand, Western Skies Handmade, since 2008. With a background as a classically trained musician, Sarah’s distinct style elevates traditional craft with a fresh blend of classical and modern designs.
