Workshop Description: For the first time ever, Carlos will be offering his in-person, unique-to-him leather dyeing style at a Leather Crafter’s Journal trade show! Be the first to join him for a day applying color to tooling leather in the bespoke style that he’s known for, and then molding and shaping the leather into trays. Your tray will be finished with a properly burnished edge, creating a centerpiece fit for any room!

Materials to bring: #2 edger and a hand slicker.

Workshop Instructor: Growing up with the nature of Hawaii inspired Carlos Williams’ color themes that he transfers onto leather. Kauai plant and tree life has had a huge influence with his style of dying. Rainbow eucalyptus trees have also become a huge part of what informs his style of leather work. You can view more of Carlos’ work on Instagram at lospalanileathercreations.

Workshop Sponsors: Hermann Oak Leather Co. and The Fiebing Co.
