Workshop Description: In this comprehensive workshop, I will guide you through the process of crafting your very own luxury, bespoke cuffwatch. Over the course of this experience, you will learn a wide variety of traditional and modern techniques. These will include accurate sizing, precise cutting, hand skiving for reduced bulk, using a bell skiver, clean edge work, detailed hand stitching, and the navigation of the buckle apparatus. You’ll also gain skills in precise hole punching, glueing, lining, and assembling the watch for a perfect finish. At the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with a fully constructed and beautifully crafted cuffwatch. You will choose from one of Freddie’s premium-quality watch faces in either black or bright silver. Additionally, you can select from black or rich brown, vegetable-tanned, full-grain leather sourced and tanned in Tuscany, Italy. All materials are provided, and Freddie will share invaluable tips, tricks, and insights from my 20+ years of experience in the industry to help you achieve a professional result. {You’ll be using a COBRA NP4 bell knife skiver; if you are interested in purchasing COBRA equipment at the show, call Leather Machine Company by February 1 to pre-order at +1 (866) 962-9880. Deposit required.}

Materials to bring: Paper, pencil/pen, craft knives, cutting board, straight edge/ruler, edge beveler (#00, 0 or 1), pricking irons (stitching chisels), edge slicker or canvas, 3/4″ strap end punch, scratch awl, sewing awl, French edge skiver, wing divider, smooth surface for skiving (glass, marble) smooth-faced hammer, and a stitching pony or similar.
