Workshop Description: Learn how to get more use out of the tooling patterns you already own. In this class, we’ll break down the basic structure of a tooling pattern so you can better understand how the elements work together. From there, we’ll cover how to add, remove, resize, and change elements to make a pattern fit different projects and give it a completely different look. The goal is to help you stop seeing a pattern as something you can only use one way and start seeing it as a foundation you can adapt again and again. This class is great for anyone who wants to better understand pattern structure, gain confidence making adjustments, and get more value out of every pattern they purchase.

Materials to bring: Notebook, pencil, eraser, headlamp if desired.

Workshop Instructor: Joe owns and operates 23+ in Pendleton, OR. He has been tooling leather since 2005. Through his YouTube channel, online courses, and in person classes, Joe specializes in helping beginning leather toolers. The ah-ha moments that students have, continues to fuel his drive to simplify the learning process.
