Workshop Description: Join us for a lesson in creating an 8″ x 11″ floral carved panel for a zippered book case. This workshop will cover all the steps to carve your choice of several provided patterns to decorate a provided panel, or bring your own pattern for coaching on drawing designs and tooling. The panel you create can be used in Leandra Martin’s Zippered Book Case: Part 2 workshop, or taken home for your own project.

Materials to bring: All personal tools for carving leather: Stamping tools, swivel knife, maul/mallet, marble, tracing stylus, shot bag, and learning aids, such as notebook, pen, pencil, eraser, circle templates, etc.

Workshop Instructor: Nancy Martiny is a 35 year saddle maker and 50 year leather carver. She has learned, and continues to study, with the best to improve her work and help others. She works from her home ranch studio in Idaho.
