Lea Wagner
Rozet – Lokaal 3.16
Saturday 24.10. 09.00 – 17.00
All skill levels welcome!
Workshop Description: Easy to learn, hard to master. Simple Celtic knots are for sure a great beginner project, but now it´s time to dive deep into the complexity of Viking animal motifs, combined with fine details and filigree. So tool a patch with Lea! Starting with the construction of a pattern, how to fill space, and what to consider if you want to apply filigree (cutting out the background instead of tooling it) – to tooling techniques, details, dyeing, antiquing, and highlighting. We will explore endless possibilities to elevate your work and make it personal, interesting and a perfect eye-catcher. This workshop will teach you everything you need to know to tell your own stories using beautiful Viking patterns as your language. P.S. If you are also interested in Lea’s The World of Bags, this patch fits the bag flap, which can be added at any time!
Materials to bring: Beveler (small & medium sizes), small seeder, swivel knife, tooling stone, mallet, modeling spoon, ballpoint stylus, wing divider, cutting mat, rubber gloves, and 3 acrylic brushes (medium and small sizes). If you can´t bring your own tooling stone, please contact info@medusa-leatherart.de ahead of time; Lea has a few spare ones that she can bring with her.
Workshop Instructor: Lea Wagner found her passion in leather craft early in life during her university studies in Germany and decided to follow her dream of becoming a full time leather crafter.
