Workshop Description: All Four Saddle Workshops – save $50
This is a unique opportunity to learn and spend time in Wayne Hape’s saddle shop. Wayne was taught saddle making from his father, accomplished saddle maker Chester Hape. Spend Tuesday through Friday with Wayne, learning his approach to saddle making. This workshop is the first of it’s kind at Wayne Hape Saddlery.
Materials to bring: Note taking materials. Cameras are welcome.
Workshop Instructor: Wayne Hape will use what he’s learned from years of saddle making with father, Chester Hape, and on his own in his shop to teach you how to prepare thread and materials for precise hand sewing. Using a hand awl and needles you’ll master efficiency and perfection for both flat work and box stitching. This workshop will focus on mastering techniques rather than finishing a project.
