Workshop Description: Join me as we carve this horse from a more challenging perspective! Learn how to breathe more life into your figure carving, using just a modeling spoon and very few essential tools. On a thin, flat piece of leather, we’ll explore how to create details, optical depth and dimension.
Materials to bring: Small, rounded(!) modeling spoon, stylus for tracing, swivel knife, beveler (regular angled, one small, one larger), matte beveler (small and larger size), your favorite background stamps, maul, petal lifter, spray bottle or sponge & water dish, and a tooling stone.
Workshop Instructor: Bianca Isabel is a German-born Leather Artist, living in the United States, with a lifelong passion
and background in Arts. Her creative journey led her into the world of Leathercraft in 2020,
where she quickly discovered a deep appreciation for the craft itself, the medium and it’s
creative possibilities. In 2022, she found her true calling in Figure Carving, which allows her to blend Fine Art with Craftsmanship. Since then, Bianca has devoted herself to explore the artistic potential of leather, using details and optical depth to create dimension, and bring her vision to life.
