Workshop Description: This full day workshop will introduce students to the art of leather braiding. Students will make 2 braided kangaroo leather bracelets that are theirs to keep. This is the perfect class for those who have never braided before and want to get their feet wet. No previous braiding experience needed.
Materials to bring: Please bring note taking materials and enthusiasm to learn. All tools and materials are provided.
Workshop Instructor: Scott’s braiding career began at age six. One day, his dad was at the barn working a young horse and Scott asked him when he was going to teach him how to braid. He told Scott to find some bailing twine and then proceeded to show him the process of braiding three strands. Scott was instantly hooked, and so began a lifelong love of braiding and creating. Education and preservation of Western Crafts has become a passion of his, and he loves teaching and seeing people reach their goals, while finding their own love of braiding.
