Workshop Description: Build yourself a new belt! During this class you will apply the fundamentals of floral carving and basic stamping to create a single layer heirloom belt. Learn dye and finish techniques along with edge slicking and snap setting. As part of this class, we will cover a basic measuring strategy to ensure the best fit for yourself, as well as custom orders. The amount of tooling and stamping will vary depending on your experience level coming into the class to ensure that you leave with a finished product.

Materials to bring: Tooling stone, mallet/maul, stylus, swivel knife, tools for carving and stamping (checkered bevelers, vertical lined thumbprint, veiner, mules foot, flower center, backgrounder, border stamp, geometric/basket stamp), and note taking materials. (Also bring a headlamp if desired).

Workshop Instructor: Joe owns and operates 23+ in Pendleton, OR. He has been tooling leather since 2005. Through his YouTube channel, online courses, and in person classes, Joe specializes in helping beginning leather toolers. The ah-ha moments that students have, continues to fuel his drive to simplify the learning process.

Workshop Sponsors: Hermann Oak Leather Co., The Fiebing Company, and Silver Creek Leather
