Workshop Description: In this class we will be building the popular Hobo style handbag. This is an in-depth construction class where will focus on skill building and the art of handbag making. Construction techniques include creating a great fitting drop-in liner with fabric, zipper installation for the main bag opening, zippered pocket construction, and edge finishing or folding for a clean, professional result. You will leave with your own finished hobo handbag, a pattern, and the knowledge to make more for your customers. {You’ll be using COBRA Class 26 sewing machines (with work platforms), the COBRA Class 20, a COBRA Burnisher, and the COBRA NP-4 Bell Knife Skiver; if you are interested in purchasing COBRA equipment at the show, call Leather Machine Company by February 1 to pre-order at +1 (866) 962-9880. Deposit required.} Students must supply their own bag leather.
