Wednesday 05/14 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
All skill levels welcome!
Workshop Description: Let’s make a timeless classic, designed to remind us of the satchels and bags carried by the riders who carried messages across an unsettled country. This bag is large enough to tote around a table or small laptop, as well as all the other stuff you might need throughout your day. The bag is rugged, easy to use, and gets compliments everywhere it goes! {You’ll be using COBRA Class 18 and Class 20 sewing machines; if you are interested in purchasing COBRA equipment at the show, call Leather Machine Company by February 1 to pre-order at +1 (866) 962-9880. Deposit required.}
Materials to bring: Note taking materials, scissors, rivet (post and washer type) setting tools (if you have them), 1/8″ hole punch, punching or cutting surface, maul or mallet. If you do not have any of these items, we will have several sets available for folks to share.
Workshop Instructor: Aaron Heizer has been working with leather since 2001. While in the army, stationed all over the world, he found that it was a hobby he could take with him to most places. He is now retired from the Army and owns Maker’s Leather Supply in Elm Mott, Texas. Aaron also operates under the business name of Heizer’s Custom Leather, making custom leather goods, and regularly hosts live Facebook how-to videos.
Workshop Sponsors: Maker’s Leather Supply and Leather Machine Co., LLC
