Workshop Description: In this workshop, I’ll be demonstrating three unique techniques for adding color to leather artwork, with a focus on pictorial and portrait work. These methods can bring depth, realism, and vibrancy to your designs, but they’re also adaptable for Sheridan-style carving. Whether you’re looking to refine your coloring skills or explore new approaches, this session will provide insight into how different techniques interact with leather. Expect a mix of demonstration and discussion, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions along the way.

Materials to bring: Pen, paper, and snacks.

Workshop Instructor: As a lifelong artist, Daniel Reach has dabbled in just about everything, but the two niches that have inspired his creative side more than any others are leatherworking and airbrushing. In his early 20s, he apprenticed under one of the top 10 airbrush artists in the world. During that time, he taught dozens of classes and showed hundreds of students how to airbrush. As a leather artist, Daniel is a Master Leather Craftsman, and a multi-award winning artist who teaches on two YouTube channels, including Weaver Leather Supply and The LeatherVerse.
