Workshop Description: Making the investment in a full side of leather is a big investment. That investment can be scary when you’re not certain on how many projects you can get out of it, where to cut those projects out, or how to minimize waste. Buying by the side isn’t referred to as a big investment because it’s expensive. It’s referred to as a big investment because there can be a big return on your money if you utilize it correctly. At 23+, they break down over 25 sides of leather each month. In this class, Joe is going to show you how they do that to get the most yield out of a side, how to work around blemishes, or where to work them in. Learn to minimize waste and get the most projects out of your leather.

Materials to bring: Note taking materials. Bring patterns from some of your projects that you often make. You don’t have to, but I’d love to personalize this class as much as possible & show you how I’d break a hide down if I was in your shoes.

Workshop Instructor: Joe owns and operates 23+ in Pendleton, OR. He has been tooling leather since 2005. Through his YouTube channel, online courses, and in person classes, Joe specializes in helping beginning leather toolers. The ah-ha moments that students have, continues to fuel his drive to simplify the learning process.
