All skill levels welcome!
Workshop Description: Let’s build an apron, or better yet, a Chapron! In this workshop, you will be building a leather apron that looks like a pair of chaps. We will be using Hermann Oak’s 1818 Heritage, water resistant leather that they will be graciously donating, and their latigo for the yoke tops! These aprons will ALL be the same size; one size fits all. You get to determine the pockets that will be going on them and the configuration you would like to use! If you want to tool or stamp your yokes, you’ll need to get a hold of Julie at least 6 weeks in advance so she can send you the yoke template you will be using! (jbldleatherschool@gmail.com) {You’ll be using COBRA Class 20 and 26 sewing machines; if you are interested in purchasing COBRA equipment at the show, call Leather Machine Company by Aug. 1 to pre-order at +1 (866) 962-9880. Deposit required.}
Materials to bring: Cutting mat, preferred cutting tools, tape measure, 6 x 24 quilter’s grid, edger, and leather shears. (Please put your name on your grid.)
