Workshop Description: This course offers a comprehensive basis for the accounting aspects of launching and managing a small business, with a specific focus on financial literacy and regulatory compliance. It details the steps for launching a new business, including choosing between business structures (like LLCs or corporations), hobby vs. business, record keeping, and an explanation of financial statements and how they correlate to an income tax return. Ultimately, the course serves as a practical guide for entrepreneurs to understand the business accounting structure, reporting, and regulatory compliance within that structure. More importantly though, this class is taught by a CPA who explains the accounting jargon in everyday terms so that every student is comfortable in the class.
