Workshop Description: When you get excited by a new idea or design, but get frustrated during the process when it comes to making sizes work and parts fit, this may be a workshop for you. This will be an informative and practical workshop about how to translate your designs into a workable and sizable pattern. You will get tips and tricks on how to set up the project in logical steps and help you make practical and aesthetic decisions to create a pattern that fits your design. During the workshop you will be using your own design as an example and reflect on your ideas. This workshop can be taught in English, Dutch, and German.

Materials to bring: Information regarding your design idea that you want to create a pattern for, such as pictures, sketches, material and technique ideas you would like to use in the project.

Workshop Instructor: Danielle Roossien has always been fascinated by leather. In 2010, she discovered the wonderful world of leather crafting and started working with leather, jumping in with “both feet”. She travels quite a bit, giving demonstrations about the art of leather crafting, while also teaching and administering a year-long course for students of leatherwork. Danielle has been instrumental in organizing the ELWATS show in her home country with the Leather Crafters & Saddlers Journal. Danielle speaks Dutch, English, and German.
