Workshop Description: Make a beautiful, picturesque diorama using leather dust, wool, boar’s hair, and wire to create natural-looking scenery. Learn the skills needed to form the various shapes and add color that will make anyone look twice to be sure the plant life isn’t real! Surprisingly easy, you’ll have fun shaping and forming as you fill the space and create a “story” with leather dust and colors.

Materials to bring: Just your imagination, as all the rest will be provided for you.

Workshop Instructor: Tony’s been doing upholstery for over 20 years, and started making leather goods about 8 years ago. He’s made everything from leather paintings and sculptures to a custom, half-size wingback chair. He has wins in the World Leather Debut (1st, 2nd, and 3rd), published articles, and made the cover of the Leather Crafters and Saddlers Journal. Tony teaches private and group classes on leatherworking and upholstery out of his shop and around the country. He also sells instructional materials, supplies, several patterns, and leatherworking tools through his Etsy shop online. (www.etsy.com/shop/TonyAllenBernier?)
