Workshop Description: This knife sheath looks like a holster, but it is specially designed for a Buck knife (#110). You will learn some Sheridan style tooling as well as a special technique to build up the filler. The filler is designed to hold the knife safely in the sheath without the need for buckles or straps.

Materials to bring: A 101 or A 104, A 101-3 or A 105, B 203, B 892, B 935, E 386, F 902, P 367 or P 368, S 350 or S 722, U 858, V 404, V 463, V 920 (or, if available: Barry King’s Sheridan style tools), mallet, edge creaser no. 4, swivel knife with ¼” slim angle blade, head knife/utility knife, tracing tool, pro petal, edge beveler no. 3, edge slicker (nylon or wood), stitch groover, needles and thread for hand stitching, Dremel power tool and small drill (if available), strop, wool pieces, waterproof sandpaper (400 grit), glass Coke bottle, cordura cloth, cutting board, contact cement, and a tooling stone.

Workshop Instructor: Armin Dobstetter started leatherwork during his 14 years at a local reenactment American Indian Club. With his first Harley-Davidson in 1980, he started to create useful things for his bike, then for the bikes of friends. In 1990, he started his business and today he is one of best leather artists in Europe for seats, saddlebags and various motorcycle gear, working not only on leather with his own designs, but also creating base plates and doing the upholstery.
