Workshop Description: This workshop is designed to focus on improving your carving skills. You will learn how focusing on correct finger, arm, and even feet and body position will improve your tooling skills while reducing pain. Yves will break down every movement and each gesture, to improve them and get better results. You will spend time repeating exercises to help you master the right movements. Then, you will practice and use your new knowledge to carve a pattern of your choice. A circle template set, a set of Barry King’s stamping tools, a swivel knife and maul will be provided for each student, as well as 8B lead pencils. This workshop can be taught in both French and English simultaneously.

Materials to bring: Notebook, pencil, pen, stamping stone, and a headlamp/ magnifier( if needed).
