Workshop Description: After seeing that many of my colleagues have serious problems cutting and preparing their lace for braiding, Isaac has decided to show you how he does it. You will learn how to cut the lace from a full hide using different tools, and he will share some tips that will make your life much easier. You will also have the opportunity to split and bevel the lace so that at the end of the class, in addition to having learned how to cut and prep your lace, you will own a lace cutter and few meters of lace.

Materials to bring: Cutting board and a scalpel.

Workshop Instructor: Isaac started with leather as a hobbyist around 1994. He studied at the Arts and Crafts Leather School in Cordoba (Spain) and Loewe´s Leather Design, receiving a Master’s Degree. He has been a full-time leather worker since 2003. Since 2018, he’s been sharing his knowledge, offering classes in different countries. In 2020, he started his business, Leather Artisan Lab, selling carefully selected premium leather tools.
