Control & Refinement with the Swivel Knife
Tuesday, 05/14, 1:00pm – 5:00pm, W208, Sheridan College
All skill levels welcome!
Control of the swivel knife is fundamental to all decorative work with leather. After checking to be sure that they know how to properly sharpen and strop their knives, participants of this workshop will learn techniques which will help to ensure that their cuts work with the flow of the pattern. Emphasis will also be placed on making push cuts and fading out lines while cutting to see the effect that this has on creating flow in the finished work.
Materials to Bring: Swivel knives, blades, strops and other sharpening equipment that you may have and can bring. Cameras welcome.
