Workshop Description: Combine braiding with stone inlay in this workshop brought to you by Isaac Romero from Spain. You will get to choose which type of stone to inlay to use (tiger’s eye, obsidian, etc.), then learn how to lace around the stone using four different types of braids. Finally, you’ll see how to apply finishes to the pendant to give it a refined look.

Materials to bring: Lacing needles, lacing fid or round awl, utility knife, small cutting board, bone folder, and a few cloth rags.

Workshop Instructor: Isaac started with leather as a hobbyist around 1994. He studied at the Arts and Crafts Leather School in Cordoba (Spain) and Loewe´s Leather Design, receiving a Master’s Degree. He has been a full-time leather worker since 2003. Since 2018, he’s been sharing his knowledge, offering classes in different countries. In 2020, he started his business, Leather Artisan Lab, selling carefully selected premium leather tools.

Workshop Sponsors: Y-Knot Lace
