Skill Level: All skill levels welcome!

“King of the Jungle” is a great class if you are looking to improve your hairing techniques.  An African lion possesses numerous hair lengths. To create the most realistic looking hair, the “one hair at a time” technique is the most valuable. You will also learn how to get the depth that is so important in realistic types of carvings. Painting is included in this class. Learn about the importance of shadowing and contrast to make your lion come alive.  This is the first time this class has been offered. Come join me for the most fun type of learning available. Supplies donated by Hermann Oak Leather Co., Fiebing’s and Renia USA.

Materials to Bring: Styluses, regular and tiny point, modeling spoon, swivel knife, bevelers (smooth and checkered, various sizes), matting tools (smooth and checkered, various sizes), smooth, flat pear shaders (various sizes), F895, undercut beveler, F902-2, paint brushes (round with firm tip, sizes 2, 3, & 4; instructor will have some available).
