Skill Level: Advanced

Students in this workshop will learn how to create beautiful swivel knife designs. Discussion will include the various styles of finger carving, pattern creation, layout and practical applications. Instruction will include the use of various types of swivel knives & blades, sharpening, cutting techniques, free hand cutting and the application of additional stamping tools. Bobby will demonstrate the layout and cutting of a typical finger carving pattern. Materials donated by Hermann Oak Leather Co. and Bob Park Custom Leather.

Bob Park

Bobby is a leathersmith specializing in western floral tooling. He has developed a unique style in the western tradition, winning numerous awards at national shows and exhibitions. In 2015, he was awarded the Al Stohlman Award for Achievement in Leathercraft. In addition to his leatherwork, Bobby is the author of Creating Western Floral Designs, a highly acclaimed instruction on creating western tooling patterns, which is currently distributed in over 40 countries.
